How Many Single Rich Men Are Out There?
by Lena Gromicko
They say all the good ones are taken.
They say men don’t commit. That men are either broke or emotionally unavailable. That if a man is rich, he’s probably married, divorced (twice), or allergic to monogamy.
But we’re not playing the guessing game here. If you want to marry rich, it helps to know what you’re actually working with. Because the truth is, the pool of eligible, wealthy men is bigger than you think. You’re not chasing a fantasy. You’re simply narrowing your focus.
Let’s zoom out. Forget your town, your dating app radius, and your friend’s sister’s horror story. Let’s talk numbers.
First, we must define what we mean by “rich.” Rich is generally defined as having a net worth of $1 million (U.S.) or more. So how do we calculate net worth?
Net worth is the total value of everything a person or entity owns (assets) minus everything they owe (liabilities). It’s a key measure of financial health. The formula is as follows:
Net worth = Assets = Liabilities.
Example: If you own a house worth $500,000, a car worth $30,000, and have $20,000 in savings—but owe $300,000 on your mortgage and $10,000 in credit card debt—your net worth is:
($500,000 + $30,000 + $20,000) − ($300,000 + $10,000) = $240,000
There are around 62 million individuals with net worths of $1 million or more. 76% are married, leaving 24% single, divorced, or widowed). Let's do the math:
0.24 x 62M = 14.9 million unmarried millionaires.
Wealth is heavily male-skewed – around 90% of millionaires are male. So, let’s do some more math:
0.9 x 14.9M = 13.4 million single millionaires worldwide. 97% of them are sexually straight.
So, there are more than 13 million, single, straight, rich men in the world.
Let’s break it down further into different classes of the rich.
- There are about 54 million with a net worth of $1M to $5M. We call them “Affluent individuals.”
- There are 4.3 million with a net worth of $5M to $10M. We call them “Mid-tier millionaires.”
- There are 2.4 million with a net worth of $10M to $50M. We call them “High-tier millionaires.”
- There are 300,000 with a net worth of $50M to $100M. We call them “Ultra-high net worth individuals.”
- There are 180,000 with a net worth of $100M to $500M. We call them “Centimillionaires.”
- There are 30,000 with a net worth of $500M to $1B. We call them “Half-billionaires.”
- There are 3,000 with a net worth of $1B+. We call them “Forbes-class billionaires.”
Here is a chart showing the distribution of net worth of millionaires:
As you can see by the chart, 90% of all millionaires have a net worth of $1M to 10M. Therefore, odds are that the rich man you will marry will fall into this category.
There are plenty of rich men in the world, and their numbers are growing. Here is a chart showing the growth of millionaires over time:
There are over 13 million single, straight, millionaire men on this planet. So, the next time someone tells you “All the good ones are taken.” you can smile politely and know they’re statistically full of it.
Now not all millionaires are created equal. Some are just scraping past the seven-figure mark, while others are flying private, buying islands, or funding space rockets for fun. But whether you're aiming for someone comfortably wealthy or wildly rich, there’s room at every tier. No matter the number, what matters most is this: They exist. In real life. In real time. Right now.
Why don’t you know one? Why don’t you date one? Why haven’t you married one? Let me tell you something that changed everything for me: It’s not just about finding him. It’s about being where he already is. You don’t attract this kind of man from a place of bitterness, fear, or desperation. You align with him by elevating your mindset, your standards, your strategy, and your circles. You need not chase — but you do need to position.
Because here’s what matters next — not just how many rich men are out there, but how they got to where they are. Was it inheritance, innovation, or hard-earned discipline? Was it real estate? Crypto? Family business? Old money? New empire? Not because we’re judging them — but because we’re curious. We’re learning. Because understanding how wealth is built helps you understand the man behind it — his values, his mindset, his habits, and his blind spots. And if he’s kind, grounded, and open to love... we accept him — wherever his journey began.
Let’s keep going.
